Before and After Care

Welcome to the Before and After School program at Kangaroo's Korner! We know that a busy family's schedule doesn't always align perfectly with the school bell, so we provide a safe, reliable, and engaging environment for school-aged children. Whether they need a calm space to ease into the morning before the bus arrives or a supportive place to unwind after a long day of learning, our inclusive program is designed to meet their needs. We offer the perfect balance of dedicated homework help, structured group activities, and plenty of free play, ensuring your child ends their day happy, relaxed, and ready for tomorrow.

Values

A Safe Haven

We provide a secure, welcoming environment where older children can relax, decompress from the rigorous school day, and feel right at home.

01

Academic Support

We offer dedicated time and quiet spaces for children to tackle their homework, with our teachers available to provide guidance, encouragement, and help when they get stuck.

02

Active Unwinding

After sitting in a classroom all day, we prioritize physical activity, offering plenty of outdoor play and group games to help kids burn off pent-up energy.

03

Student Autonomy

We respect that school-aged children crave independence, so we allow them to lead the way and choose their afternoon activities, from creative arts to reading or team sports.

Milestones

1

Emotional Regulation

Children learn how to successfully transition between the high demands of the school day and the relaxed atmosphere of after-care, practicing healthy ways to decompress and manage stress.

2

Peer Collaboration

Through group games and team activities, older children refine their social skills, learning how to negotiate rules, resolve peer conflicts respectfully, and work together toward a common goal.

3

Academic Confidence

With dedicated homework support and a structured routine, students develop strong time-management skills, good study habits, and the confidence to complete their assignments independently.

4

Leadership & Responsibility

As the oldest children in our center, school-aged kids learn to take ownership of their space, organize their own activities, and act as positive, helpful role models for the younger children.
